Founded by former New York City Ballet dancer Marisa Cerveris, ByMarisa Dancewear is a small, independent company and online store specializing in unique dance apparel. Since 2003 we've been producing the most elegant designer leotards, ballet costumes and pilateswear for our most discerning customers... dancers!

Each item is handmade in the United States and designed to make you stand out from the crowd and feel great doing it. Our designs are elastic-free, feature exceptional seaming, and are guaranteed not to slip down, ride up or crack at the seams.

Over the last 6 years our couture quality work has gained us several accolades and a loyal following within the dance community. Marisa was personally selected to design the costumes for Robert Altman's ballet feature film “The Company", starring Neve Campbell. Our designs have graced the pages of The New York Times, Dance Magazine, Dance Spirit and Pointe magazine to name a few. And we have developed a reputation as the costumier of choice for several well known professional choreographers and training schools including Pascal Rioult, Kevin O’Day and Carol Parker (Pilobolus), Ballet Academy East, and Manhattan Youth Ballet.
